Al Ain, the Garden City of oases and forts, has its own spirit for weddings and majlis gatherings. The Angham Al Oud team, led by oud player Wael Salah, brings live Arabic music to Al Ain and every emirate: oud to welcome guests, a zaffa for the couple’s entrance, and tarab that carries the evening.
Available line-ups
- Solo oud, or oud and voice: for receptions, Milcha and Nikah ceremonies, and family gatherings.
- Duo (oud and percussion): for dinners and mid-sized majlis.
- Trio: oud and percussion, with nay, qanun or a singer.
- Full takht sharqi: oud, qanun, nay, violin, percussion and vocals for larger evenings. Read about our takht sharqi.
Wedding zaffa in Al Ain
We accompany the bride’s or groom’s entrance with a live zaffa on percussion and oud, timed with the kosha, the lights and the venue team, then move into a tarab set for the guests. Line-ups can be split between the women’s and men’s halls. See our zaffa band and Arabic wedding band.
Majlis and farm-villa evenings
Homes and farms across Al Ain, in Al Hili, Al Jimi, Al Foah, Al Yahar and beyond, suit a calm oud session or a full open-air takht. We plan the space, the sound and the guests’ comfort.
National and community events
For Eid Al Etihad on 2 December and for official or heritage occasions, we perform Emirati, Gulf and classical Arabic repertoire. We performed at Liwa Festival 2026. We prepare the programme with you; the final programme may vary with circumstances, the musicians available and the nature of the venue.
