Angham Al Oud is a live Arabic music band based in Dubai. We have performed across the UAE since 2019 and also have a presence in Kuwait and Egypt. The band is led by Wael Salah, an Egyptian oud player and singer and the founder of the Rouh Dubai Choir (Dubai Opera). We perform Arabic tarab and Egyptian, Levantine and Khaleeji songs with live instruments and live vocals, for weddings, private and corporate events, hotels, and national and cultural occasions.

Takht Sharqi at the Heart of What We Do
What sets Angham Al Oud apart is the takht sharqi: a small group of musicians on oud, qanun, nay, violin and percussion who converse with the singer and improvise with him, so the music is created in front of your guests in the moment. We perform the takht for tarab evenings, weddings and formal events, choosing its instruments and programme to suit the occasion. Discover our takht sharqi in Dubai.

Music That Suits Your Guests
Every programme balances classic tarab with songs your guests know and love, from Egyptian to Levantine and Khaleeji, with touches of Emirati heritage. We agree on songs and special requests with you before the event, and keep in mind your guests' different backgrounds and ages, so everyone finds something to enjoy.
Why a Live Band?
A live band reads the room and the people in it: it softens when guests sit down to dinner, lifts as conversation and singing begin, and answers a song request on the spot. The sound of oud, qanun and nay played in front of your guests gives an occasion a warmth and authenticity that people remember long after the evening ends.

We are based in Dubai and perform in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, in wedding halls, hotels, restaurants, majlis settings, homes and theatres. We also have a presence in Kuwait and Egypt.
