The Angham Al Oud team brings live oud to Abu Dhabi, led by Wael Salah, the team’s lead oud player, for private and corporate events in the capital, Al Ain and Al Dhafra. We are based in Dubai and serve all Emirates, and we come to Abu Dhabi with the line-up that suits your occasion, from calm solo oud to a full takht sharqi.

Oud for events in Abu Dhabi
Oud suits guest receptions, dinners, majlis gatherings, Ramadan evenings, engagements and katb al-kitab, as well as corporate and hotel events on the Corniche, Saadiyat Island and Yas Island. It can be gentle background music or a tarab session that guests gather around and join with their requests.
Our work in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
The Angham Al Oud team performed at Liwa Festival 2026 in Al Dhafra, an experience we value, playing live in Gulf dress for the festival audience. The team has also collaborated with Rouh Dubai Choir for National Day celebrations.
Available line-ups
- Solo oud: calm instrumental music, or oud with vocals by Wael Salah.
- Duo (oud and percussion): light rhythm that adds energy while keeping the mood intimate.
- Trio: oud and percussion, with nay, qanun or a singer as the third member, depending on the occasion.
- Zaffa: live music with percussion and vocals for the entrance of the couple or guests.
- Takht sharqi: oud, qanun, nay and percussion with vocals for a full tarab evening. Read about our takht sharqi.
What We Play
The repertoire ranges from classic Arabic tarab to Khaleeji, Emirati, Egyptian and Levantine melodies, along with taqasim on the Arabic maqamat. We welcome song requests and agree on them before the event. We prepare the programme with you; the final programme may vary with circumstances, the musicians available and the nature of the venue.
Events in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra
We perform in Abu Dhabi city and Al Ain with no extra travel fee; far venues such as Liwa and desert locations carry a travel fee. For outdoor events or winter camps, we agree in advance on a shaded spot that suits the instruments. For a full band, see our Arabic band.
